Our Approach to chiropractic Care: Why We Do What We Do

The first time Dr. J. P. Fulp visited a chiropractor, it was due to lower neck pain and arm pain. After a quick examination, and x-rays, the chiropractor informed him that he had degeneration in his lower neck. For his treatment, the chiropractor twisted him on his side and crunched his left hip. He then had Dr. J.P. lay on his opposite side so that he could once again twist him to crunch his right hip. He then popped Dr. J'.P.'s middle back before having him lay face up so that he could pop Dr. J.P.'s neck on the right and then left side. The adjustment lasted about 3-4 minutes but Dr. J.P. felt great afterward.

Dr. Fulp returned for more visits for further relief and the same protocol was followed at each brief visit. With the relief that he was experiencing his wife, Dr. Sonya Dunn Fulp, soon decided to visit the same chiropractor for relief from some lower back pain that she was experiencing. Her treatment for her low back pain was the exact same as Dr. J.P. and relief from her adjustment was very minimal.

The Fulps quickly learned that they were both being given a generic treatment called the fly by seven. The classic fly by seven is a one size fits all adjustment technique that can help one feel better  but it does not address any specific problems. The Fulps were soon introduced to a more modern chiropractor whose adjustments were specific and addressed the actual root of their problems. Evaluations were made at each visit and their plan of care was individualized to their need which could include adjustments, soft tissue work, extremity adjustments, and/or rehab. Both Dr. Fulps were soon feeling better and unbeknownst at the time inspired.

At Fulp Spinal Wellness Center, the doctors design each patient's plan of care based on the patient's individual needs. Patients have seen relief from, low back pain, neck pain, head aches, sciatica, tennis elbow, and shoulder problems among other things while using a variety of techniques. Come see how the doctors can help you today.
